Meet your head instructor

From international wrestling to the Jiu-Jitsu circuit, Pedro brings a lifetime of learning to 413. Meet the professor behind our school in Southlake, Texas.
The journey behind the professor
Jiu-Jitsu was Pedro's first martial art. Wrestling later took him into international competition, where training alongside athletes from different cultures broadened his experience.
At 23, he returned his focus to Jiu-Jitsu. His path eventually brought him to the mats in Southlake, where he now leads 413 as head instructor and school owner.
Pedro began training Jiu-Jitsu as a child, taking his first steps in the art that would later become his profession.
He focused on wrestling at 14. At 15, he was selected for Brazil's juvenile Olympic team and began representing his country internationally.
After years in wrestling, he dedicated himself to Jiu-Jitsu again, continuing a competitive journey that led to the black belt.
Experience on the mat
Competition is part of Pedro's journey, and your training can follow your own goals. At 413, new and experienced students train for self-defense, fitness and the satisfaction of learning. Competing is optional.
